How Search Credits Work
Understanding how your search quota is used helps you get the most out of Socialix.io
Each Search = 1 Credit
Every time you perform a search, it uses 1 credit from your monthly quota. This includes searches on any platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
Monthly Reset
Your search quota resets on the 1st of each month. Unused searches don't roll over, so use them while you have them!
Smart Caching
We cache search results for 24 hours. If you search the same query again within 24 hours, it won't count against your quota.
Pagination Counts
Each page of results (10 results per page) counts as 1 search. Viewing page 2, 3, etc. of your results uses additional credits.

Why does pagination use credits?
Our search API returns 10 results per request. To show you page 2, 3, etc., we need to make additional API calls, which costs us per request. That's why each page counts as a separate search.
How does caching help me save searches?
When you search for something, we store the results for 24 hours. If you or anyone else searches the exact same query (same keywords, filters, and page), we'll return the cached results without using your quota.
What happens when I run out of searches?
You'll see a message letting you know you've reached your limit. You can either wait for your monthly reset, upgrade to a higher plan, or purchase additional credit packs.
Can I see how many searches I have left?
Yes! When you're signed in, you can see your remaining quota in the dashboard. The search modal also shows your current usage.
Why do anonymous users only get 3 lifetime searches?
Anonymous searches are tracked by browser fingerprint to prevent abuse. The 3 lifetime searches let you try the service before signing up. Create a free account to get 10 monthly searches!
Do all platforms count the same?
Yes, searching on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, or any other platform uses the same credits. 1 search = 1 credit regardless of the platform.
What are credit packs?
Credit packs let you buy additional searches on top of your monthly quota. The price per credit depends on your plan tier - Pro users get the best rate at $0.02 per credit.
